The ESSA East Primary School Team Championships 2022 heats took place on Friday 11th March at Woodside Leisure Centre. We are delighted to announce that not only did a squad from Charlotte House win both the Medley and Freestyle Relays but we have qualified as the fastest in the east of England in both disciplines! The win on Friday also resulted in our winning County Shield (Small Schools). “Training wasn’t always easy throughout lockdown,” said Mrs Muchmore, the Head of PE. “But the enthusiasm and commitment the girls have shown has never diminished. They embody our school motto, ‘I am, I can, I ought, I will!’ “ We are now looking forward to the National Finals which will take place in June at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield. Miss Woodcock, the Head, remarked, “I am delighted with all of the swimmers’ performances on the day and to qualify first in the east of England is really a magnificent achievement. Now we cannot wait for the finals!” Congratulations and good luck girls.
