Nursery Rickmansworth

Our girls and their families know when they join us they belong to a friendly community where every individual is valued.  The delight on the girls’ faces when they realise that everyone knows their name and people have time to stop and ask them about their day is really very special. Our Nursery is always a hive of activity and when you visit you will be amazed at how confident the girls are.  They will be keen to tell you all about their day and want to show you their classroom; you may never be allowed to leave!

Our Nursery is part of The Early Years’ Department which includes the Reception class. Both classes provide our youngest girls with a happy, safe and stimulating introduction to school life.

Our bright and lively classrooms are flooded with light, colour and laughter. The girls’ daily routine includes opportunities to learn, explore and play whether in class, our outside learning area or in the garden. In our full inspection, we were judged ‘outstanding’ in every category – one of few schools in Hertfordshire to be awarded this distinction. The Nursery’s key strength is developing girls’ confidence, individuality and enthusiasm for life and school. Every Child Matters is central to our ethos and in our experience a happy child is eager to learn and makes great progress.

For some activities Nursery join with Reception; this ensures a smooth transition into Reception when the time comes, as well as a great opportunity for them to interact with girls from a different age group.

Whilst the minimum fee includes five sessions is it at your discretion how many sessions your daughter attends.  All girls are encouraged to attend on Mondays as this is when the themes for the week are introduced. All girls attend full-time when they go into Reception.

With our numbers and our amazing staff to pupil ratios we really do provide a bespoke education where each girl is supported and challenged.

Do come and see this all in action!
