This week is Drowning Prevention Week. The main goal of DPW is to teach people the necessary skills and knowledge that they need to be safe and have fun in the water. As the summer heats up and families enjoy being by the water it is crucial that children learn how to make the right decisions about water safety. This week in training the Form VI swimming squad have been learning about personal survival. Thanks to our swim coach Sarah, they practised safe entry into water, HELP position and aiding someone in trouble who is in water. It was a fun and informative session which the girls very much enjoyed.

Please go to the Royal Life saving society website for resources to help you learn about these lifesaving skills.
