Despite losing out for a second year on the 2012 shield for the most participants in the race, Charlotte House girls were out in force last Sunday for the annual Moor Park Fun Run. A staggering 42 girls represented the school in the various age group categories and it was lovely to come together as a school community to celebrate the joy (and sometimes pain) of running. As usual there were some impressive individual performances. Izzy came an outstanding 2nd place in the U10 race , with Annabel finishing in the top ten out of 129 runners. In the U7 girls race there were two top ten finishers in Dulcie (8th) and Jessica (9th). Our year 6 runners faced the challenge of the longer race against year 7 girls but they fought hard and still managed to finish in the top 20 with Neve winning the school battle this time in 14th, Chloe in 17th and Georgina in 18th. Congratulations to all the girls who took part. It was a wonderful occasion and I was very proud of every single one of them.
