The girls in Forms II, III and V were very excited to meet author Clara Vulliamy on Monday, and were introduced to her new book The Newshound, from The Dog Squad series. To begin, the girls listened to Clara explain how she became an author and an illustrator. Then, she drew her new character ‘Wafer’ for the girls to see and then read extracts from the book. Some girls were then lucky enough to have a signed copy to take home with them. What an exciting day!
